I am confused,

whatever their insistence,

when wild winds blow senselessly,

false vanes rotate.

A May trade pact,

or a Summer persistence,

should whips crack loud,

strangling considered debate?

Do we stop the fuse from burning,

save the fall,

prevent them interfering

with established roots,

consign ourselves then to Europe,

one and all,

to snub the face of leavers

in pinstripe suits?

Or will we crumble from

the no-deal shock waves

allowing our inadequacies

to show

the depth of the digging

required for graves?

To the government

from the slaves, I say NO!
